I'm going to put it in my truck for now until I can do a complete system for the truck, then the Clarion HXd10 goes in the truck (it has no internal amplifier so it cant go in now) and the alpine into the c4..

the reason id get the higher end unit is so i can use factory power/ground.. lol

to AVOID the high output feature

Yeah, that one is weighing on me a bit too...

I'm just trying to picture green buttons with my amber dash...I can't decide how much I'll hate it...

alpine amber isn't very "amber" either. you seen one in amber mode yet? Its more like a sick yellow

hmm...the one I just looked at was a pretty good amber. Looked like it would match my interior really well.

I'm pretty much decided against the 7897 now. It won't fit well. It would hit my shift knob when it opens up. :(

Now I'm just debating whether I'll install the unit myself or if I'll pay the premium to buy it locally and have someone install it for me...

Unless I find another MP3 head unit I suddenly like better... :crazy:
