Re: Need recommendations - CD Changer for a 94 C4 (bogus)

If you are going to add a sub, integrate it into the sub box setup. If not, you could mount it in the storage compartment behind the passenger seat. You won't see it there and the install is relatively easy. You will need to run the wires to where you want the player. A constant+, ignition +, and ground. Also you will need to plug into the antenna. This is easily accessable under the carpet in the rear of the cargo area driver's side. There is a plug there you can splice into. It won't sound as good as your stock CD, which is a panisonic POS. GM contracted Panisonic to make the decks for the bose systems. Since it goes into the FM, it will only sound as good as a radio station, which has much less dynamic range than the CD on the deck. Even less highs and lows than the typical blose. I'd replace the deck with a dash changer or single CD and new speakers. It would sound much better and you could do replace everything for just a couple hundred more than an RF changer.
