Some do, some don't. I do, but that doesn't make it right
Should help break up standing waves, dampen the enclosure a little.
I have always used 1 lb per 1 cuft. Costs a couple $ at Wally World.

I'd say no. If you're really pressed for room, go ahead, but it throws off your volume calculations. You compensate with a multiplier, but the uncertainties involved are a little too big for my liking. Your final effective volume depends on how much you put in, how you fasten it to the walls, how dense it is, what distance it is from the driver, etc., etc., etc...

I use it but its not necessary. Try it with and without. Easy enough. Costs $5 and you can reverse it by just popping the driver and removing it. On mine it made a difference. It is recommended if you can't make a box of the necessary volume. http://www.mobileaudio.com cover's this topic in their FAQ section.
