Default Unstable 12V Source in C5

Has anyone experienced inconsistent 12 volt source in your C5. My installer tells me that vettes have a notorious problem of having an unstable 12 volt power source. I have an ECLIPSE CD5442 and is frequently shutting down. The installer tells me that ECLIPSE are very finicky when it comes to power. The installer has tried tapping into different 12V sources and has been unsuccessful. It would be fine for a while but the gremlins return.  Don't know what to do. May need to go back to the installer. Any suggestions appreciated.

Tell your installer to run a relay with the battery and the ign switch the problem should be gone after that. I am having a simler problem since I installed my clarion screen along with my Kenwood din unit

Do you have diagram to put in a relay?
I am ordering 0 ga wire to upgrade my charging system from Kale instruction and maybe adding the Relay to the batterry.
Thanks

I don't have the diagram but you can use a simple Bosch relay to install it. If you look on some car stereo sites I am sure you can find a diagram. Any good car stereo installer should know how to set it up

Go to a good stereo shop or even circuit city. The relay is about $5
