Default help with sub hook up!

I hooked up sub amp to rear speakers via a impedance matching transformer into low level amp inputs. I could not get any volume out of amp as it appeared the input level was too low or no low frequencies were present. Is there a better source to tap off of for my low freqs? Please help!

thanks
Mark

The rear speakers are not the place to hook up to. Maybe someone else will chime in and tell you exactly where. If you do a search on 99HT post, it will tell you where you can pick up pre-amp outputs off of your HU.

MVP's right. Check the posts by 99HT. The rears only get 1KHz and up from the Bose Signal Processor, so you are getting no low frequency signal to your amp.

(If I keep reading this stuff, I start to sound like I know what I'm talking about...)

Is this off the stock '79 system? The guys above are replying to a C5 setup but your profile shows you have a '79 C3.
