SCV-Working correctly or?

I have SCV on my radio.When I am on the freeway ,the volume will increase with the noise level increasing,but the volume won't decrease when the noise level drops.Is this normal or do I need to have the radio repaired? Any info will be much appreciated.My jalopy has the stock components as delivered from the factory. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy

SCV is controlled by the vehicles speed, not noise level.

The C5's SCV is controlled by data messages sent from the PCM to the HU. It does not work like other GM vehicles with SCV.

Should the volume decrease when I slow down?Mine doesn't.The volume increases and stays loud even when I decrease my speed. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy

Like I said, the C5 SCV does not work like oher GM vehicles. Blame the Delco software engineers for writing bad code.
