Default Alpine SWR-1541D or AudioBahn ALUM15Q

Here are pictures of those 2 15" subs.
Could you please give me some hint since I never use these 2 brands but love the look since I got pewter C5.
This is Alpine

And this is Audiobahn

Thanks

I got a vert so I need a 15" otherwise, I would not hear any bass ;)
I have tried MTX 8000 series and they are good but I got SVC.
I want a DVC sub but hardly find the MTX8000 DVC at a good price !!!
I am buying stuff from Ebay for 50% off. I don't pay retailed price.
That why I am looking for 400$ sub for 175$ brand new
Thanks

JL 12w7 or IDMAX will give you more punch than either of those 15's

http://www.tms-electronics.com

This place has the ProSeries Boston Acoustics 12" for $225. Feed it 600+ Watts and I think it will be loud enough! They might also have some 15's if that's what you really want.

You can buy any Sub you want...But unless you have the power to run it it's a mute point. Look at the AMP you want to run (or afford) and THEN choose the Sub.

I have read many reviews and may go with the JL 15W3 D2 or D4.
I 've heard people said that JL really has good SQ and SPL.
I wanna give JL a try !!!
I glad that I sold MTX 8000 series !!! I've just read many review and everyone said that the MTX new subs are not any good anymore !!!
No wonder, I thought my system was bad :D

So what would be the difference between a JL Audio 12"Sub vs. say a 12" sub from Jensen, Alpine or such? I mean what would a person actually ascertain between them? I have a JL Audio Sub but am wondering if I would be able to tell the difference?

what you think?

An IDMAX would definitely outperform those subs in question and it is a 12". You can find the IDMAX on ebay for much less than retail price as well. Just make sure they are an authorized dealer, but that should be the case with any car audio you buy off ebay.

An IDMAX could run off of 500 watts but that XTANT amp you have won't put out 500 wrms. However, you can always upgrade the amp at a later time and use your current amp to power the front with. It’s best not to under power any sub especially a beast like the IDMAX. :yesnod:

Sounds like you're going to have a nice system, good luck. :seeya
