Default Fact Tape Upgrade Help

Bought a 99 HT a month ago with fact tape. Decided to keep factory look and bought a cd HU over the internet. Display lights up, no sound, cd ejects and (ERR) displays. The back connections are a 20pin and a 13 pin. Is this the wrong HU for this year? Or is it locked, or did I get ripped?
Any info would be great..

Thanks

I think the HT's came with two types of factory systems, Bose and NON-Bose.. If yours is the wrong type for that radio, that may be the problem.
Normally, you can just swap radios (assuming you didn't get a bad one!).
