C5 A/C head repair

Has anyone serviced a head unit?

The display goes dim and the A/C button lite is out.

HELP !! :confused:

Mine went out too. I bought a good used one from the parts forum. That fixed me up.. its easy to change it out. I then bought a known bad one for parts and took apart that and my old one.. I don't see anything wrong, soldering looks fine, etc. I am pretty sure it is inside the display itself, but haven't had time to look further at this point. Its strange that all the other flourescent displays are working fine, this one is just plain defective!
