Default 94 Radio Replacement

I am deathly afraid of yanking plastic trim pieces, fear of something breaking. I would appreciate info on how to remove the front plastic trim with no to minimal damage, specifically where the attachment points are and if there are any screws.

I have joined the Bose haters club (previously a Bose home hater, now a car hater).

Thanks ahead.

Yours is slightly different from mine but I believe has the same screw points.
2 screws under felt/carpet liner in center console. Peel the corner's up to expose screws.
1 screw under ashtray
Lift the piece around the shifter exposing two screws on the bottom of the dash piece. Remove those screws.
Remove vent above radio-2 screws
Remove screw behind vent.
This should free the dash piece except for a clip or two and it should just pop out.
Last, don't be to afraid. Replacement for this piece is still available from GM. The one for my car is $35 so it can't be that much. I keep all the screws in the ashtray cup so I don't loose any.
Good luck. :smash:

Thanks for the info. You were correct that there was a difference.

2 screws removes the top vent

4 screws remove the center console compartment door

3 screws remove the center console (including the one under the ashtray)

3 screws remove face plate (there is also one push connector mid way on the left)

Of course, now I am really beginning to hate Bose. The Scosche adaptor connects to the remote module in the storage compartment. So now I have to run some wires from the front to the storage compartment, including an extended antenna wire.

It's never Cheap, Easy, or Quick.

92TB, again thanks for the response.
