Default 8" Sub choices?

Hey gang, I am looking for a pair of high quality 8" subs to add to the system I am currently installing. I want them small so I can still fit my T-tops in the car when weather permits. My system so far consists of 4 5" components in the doors, a Kenwood headunit, and a Phoenix Gold Tantrum amp. Anyone want to offer suggestions? I am leaning towards a pair of Eclipse 8"ers right now, but am up for anything people might suggest. Thanks!

All my research is pointing to the JL Audio 8ib4's for the doors...That's what I'm buying.

Hey gang, Will any of the above-mentioned subs be good for small sealed boxes? That is what made the Eclipses so appealing. Ellis, your setup looks good, but the box looks too large for what I want to do. With the Eclipse subs, I planned on just making a false rear wall and sticking both subs along the rear. Does JL Audio of Boston have a similar sub for such a small enclosure? Where should I look? Thanks again.

Why can't you do that with these? Just pop em out of the box they're in....

Info only. These are sold........But I am still curious..

Indy-

The shop doing the install said that the Phoenix Gold XS subs would work (they sell them too), but would benefit from a larger box than what I have said I wanted to go. Obviously, I am not looking for earth-shaking bass, but even so, I would like to keep the box as small as possible. I am sure the PG subs sound great, but I don't want to give up that much room! Who knows, maybe I am getting sold on this, but in reviewing their work and speaking with the shop owner and his references, I will trust their judgement on this one! Glad to see you had no problems selling the subs!
