Default Need new head unit?

On 2009 vert, Bose, non nav. the aux input works intermittently, sometime jiggling helps but even that works less often now. Replaced the cord but that didn't help. Looks clean inside the port. Anyone know a fix or is it time for a new receiver? Which receiver would you recommend and how difficult to install?

Default I vote new receivere

Since you have the non-navi my vote would be a new receiver. The alpine 149bt can be had for around $230 and others like the pioneer 9500 for around $150. The alpine is a great receiver, BT, IPOD, Pandora...lots of tuning. I have it in my 03 Z and its great even with the stock bose setup. You will just need to get a harness (PAC), an install kit and antenna adapter. See DoubleDmods site for a good selection of setups and options. Should only take an hour or so to install yourself.

Personally I would go double din.
You could go with a Kenwood DDX271 for about $270 ish plus parts.
