Default Help wiring in .5 Cap

I purchased this from another forum member didn't come with paperwork. I'm going to use this for my bass amp. It has a pos and neg terminals, however I assume I wire it in series with the power lead?

Help?

You wire it in parallel with your amplifier:

+12v to the pos of the cap and pos (power) of the amp
chassis ground to neg of the cap and neg (ground) of the amp

Mount it as near as possible to the amp, keeping the wires short.

You would have AC-coupled the power line wiring it in series; which would have been fun since it as soon as it charged up would have blocked the 12v DC
