Default New to forum...System questions...thanx

If you change out the factory head on a new vette vert do you have to chage out all the speakers as well.
If you leave in the factory head can you upgrade any of the factory speakers?
Does anyone have any good pics of some custom vert audion installs, I am looking for some ideas.

Thanx in advance, I am a new vette owner first timer.....Live in Orlando, looking for some good ideas.

Do you have a Bose system or the standard system? Check the head unit and speaker grilles for Bose badges. Or, remove the speaker grilles and if there are 4" round speakers behind your big ol' grilles, with amps hidden underneath, you have Bose. If you have the Bose, the best option is to replace the whole thing. You can replace parts, but it will require significant modification, expense and results that many find unacceptable. I am not familiar with the standard setup, but my understanding is that you will be in better shape if you try to replace it one piece at a time. Good luck.

Yes you have to change the speakers ... because they have a built in power system that may not be compatible with the new HU...

May? Is not compatable if it is Bose. You will need a 50-75$ converter or new speakers. I always recommend the latter unless you are going to keep it stock for shows.
