I thought i read somewhere that i need to remove the horizontal metal bracket behind the bose radio when installing an aftermarket HU. I see the metal bracket, but i dont get how to remove it. it looks like the bracket has nuts welded and the screw comes in from the other side. How do i remove the bracket?

I've never done a C4, but in C5 the bracket is held in by rivets. Options to remove it include drilling out the rivets, using a sawzall to cut them in half, or just cutting the bracket into pieces with a dremel.
