iPod to 2000 head unit
Does anybody think it possible to hardline a iPhone/iPod USB cord into a stock head unit? I want to do this without getting a car kit or or anything like that. This may help if any of you smarter electrical guy think it's possible

Use the pinouts you posted. Buy/splice an ipod cable so you can connect the audio to the changer input, and use other contacts in the ipod plug to splice in a 5v signal that you can get from a hacked power adapter or a $3 5v regulator from radio shack.

they make cables that give you audio out so you dont have to try and hack up an ipod cable and if i recall not all ipod cables have all the wire present in them

I FOUND IT! I have an iogear cable that has an ipod docking connector on one end, and usb, stereo RCA plugs, and a video RCA plug on the other end. After searching my old emails, it's the GIPODAVC6
