Kenwood DNX7160 Navi in 07 C6 (Install Help needed)
Can anyone please tell me what I need to get this unit hooked up. I already have the Pac swijack for the steering controls. Just confused as to what I need to connect the Bose amplified system to my new Navi. I want to retain all factory chimes etc. I do not have ONSTAR. While doing some research I saw a peripheral unit called the GMAH24B. Do I also need the GMAHCM and why? Thanks!

C6 AUDIO faq thread is at top of audio (this) section
GMCO is proper interface for ANY non-onstar C6, but currently available version is called C2R-GM24

But I have Bose audio and amp, I thought the GMCO does not go with that only non Bose system. Am I wrong?

If you don't have onstar, the only interface you need is the GMCO. Bose/non doesn't matter.
It is also a good idea to buy two GLI's since most people who use factory amp setup with aftermarket radio get some noise in the system without them.

Sorry just making sure
thank you!

The GMCO/C2R-GM24 will plug into the big harness that normally plugged into the oem radio. It then generates all of the warning beeps with it's own internal speaker. The wires on the interface include four male RCA's that plug into the line-level RCA output from the new HU. The gmco also has bare wires to supply constant + (yellow), ground (black), and trigger (red) TO the HU. The external amp trigger wire coming out of the radio (blue/white) needs to connect to the blue wire on the gmco to power up the oem amp. The orange wires on the gmco are useless, ignore them. Any other functions on the new HU (dimmer, backup camera, etc...) need to be connected at other locations in the car.
GMCO is all you need, 2 GLI's are also recommended
