Default how to get 8's in the doors

can someone tell me if 8" speakers will fit in the c5 doors? and how difficult is it to do? i am replacing the bose system and thought about putting some 8" subs in the front doors with some 4" two ways. will this fit and how do i do it. i'm kinda partial to polk speakers. but will consider others to get the sound i want (more up front bass).

Some guys on the forum have done it. From the looks of things they used 3/4" baffle plates to give clearance for the magnets and inner door clearance. Also depending on the basket size, you might want to position the speaker a little lower on the baffle top allow room for the 4" to be more in the grill area and not to fire in the panel itself. Good luck. :yesnod:

We had to stack the edges just a bit, but Here's DynAusio's 8" component set installed. The stock door panel covers it all up.:)
