New Owner - 1996 with Bose Gold

Hey guys, I 've had my 1996 for about a month now. I've noticed a few things about the stereo (has cassette and cd). Any fm station that I select seems to have a bit of static. Also, the radio reception does not seem that great compared to my other cars. ANy suggestions?

I am original owner of a 96 with the Bose Gold system. My FM and AM reception is really great, no complaints. The AM will pick up distant stations better that any car I have owned. Am quite impressed with the performance. My CD is what I just recently started having a problem with. When the car is not moving and just sitting in the garage the CD player works great. Going down the interstate it tries to play but it comes and goes. Changing to different tracks no problem, it just continue to play and not play, even automatically ejected a CD one time. I don't know what to tell you about repairing your radio. Did you know that the actual radio reciever is in the compartment behind the passenger seat? First thing I would try is make sure all the connections are secured.
