Default The Build Pics...

Guys:

Here's some pictures of the install on the FRC. Thanks again to everyone for their help. If it wasn't for the troubleshooting on the PAC box, it would have been done in two days. But hey, I had some vacation time and this is better than work, right?

The Reflectix on the tunnel:

And the Frost King..

Say What...?

It's actually the PURPLE wire!

Edead 80 in the doors...I used five square feet on each side per Pentavolvo's instructions. I doubled it up and it went to about the midway point of the door.

Spent some time aiming the tweets. Tom painted those screws after this picture was taken.

Sub...?

What Sub...?

Velcro. I used 3M 77 on the side that attached to the amp and the regular adhesive on the velcro worked well enough on the carpet.

I moved it forward a bit after this photo to improve the seat travel. No need to move this seat anyway. Unless of course someone is seeking a more exhilarating experience! Easy access to the amp settings the way the amp is pointed.

These are WAY under the dash...

My anal brother did this. It's on with velcro so that it can be moved to gain access to the battery. All of the connections are soldered as well.

No evidence here.

The Iphone. 10 Bonus points to the first member who knows the album name!

Chassis certification was this week. Tommy (on the right) with the NHRA inspector.

And last but not least...Rocco the guard dog.

The system rocked. I didn't have a lot of time to tune it yesterday, but it sounded great. What a setup from Elemental Designs for $300.00....SHIPPED! With all of the supplies, I have under $600.00 in the system. It's a huge improvement over stock. Anyone need some like-new Bose front speakers?!

Take Care...

Rossi

Install looks good. I'm also claiming those bonus points. I believe that's the Rush "A Farewell to Kings" album

Looks good

Whoever put your harness together was either color blind or still drunk from one hell of a night out on the town in Bowling Green. Purple, sheesh

Nice work. A word of caution, velcro is not going to stop that amp from being a head hunter in a collision, and the screw down wire connections are not either.

Enjoy the system and be safe

Thanks, Fej:

I was a bit worried about it at first, but the velcro is placed parallel with the direction the amp would move so it has a lot of surface area to stop the movement. I had to move it right after I put it down and I barely got it up!

And there is no way the amp is coming out from under that seat. There's actually a "sweet spot" where it allows the seat to move a bit forward and aft. After that, it hits the underside of the seat foam. When there's a person seated there it moves even less. (Foam is pushed down). Then, the last thing it would have to do is get past the seat adjustment bar at the front of the seat!

Regards,

Rossi

My apologies, I misinterpreted where that amp was mounted, I am sure it will be fine, and worst case it hits a foot, far less important than your head

Hi, Dan:

They really are great. I'm no audiophile, but I was surprised at how clear the system sounded at high volume. And I haven't even touched the amp settings. Pentavolvo gave me the initial setup and I haven't even attempted to tune it yet. I'm sure the speakers will sound even better when they break in.

I'm now an Elemental Designs advocate. I mean, you can't even buy a quality head unit these days for $300.00, let alone a component setup with an amp and sub!

Regards,

Rossi
