CD Changer Again

Is there any special reason the OEM 12 CD changer has to be mounted in the center storage compartment? Does this unit have to be mounted vertically? Later! Frank

Nope. I had mine just dropped in the passenger side cubby with some foam to keep it from bouncing around.

No, but it might skip a bit more if it's horizontal.
