Purchased one of these units for my 04 Vette with CD changer so I can run my Ipod through the Bose system. It arrived without instructions....

I go to the website on a weekend because support is only M-F and find the following helpful information:

Installation
The iPod2Car (PXHGM2) plugs directly into the back of the radio in a vehicle's without any cutting or splicing wires. You can install the adapter yourself, or take it to any local car stereo shop, mechanic, or dealership to have put in.

The adapter box itself is small and sits in open area behind the radio. A single cable runs from the adapter box to the iPod. This cable is very long and can be routed to wherever you would like to have the iPod in the vehicle. Any excess cable is stowed away out of sight.

The iPod2Car (PXHGM2) comes with everything you need to connect your iPod to your Car. No additionl cables or equipment are neccessary. If you have a CD Changer located in trunk or glovebox it will need to be disabled to use the iPod. If you have a CD Changer built into the radio, it will continue to work normally.

So......tear the car apart to get to the Bose, pull it out and something is wrong. The adapter does not plug into the back of the radio. WTH! I scratch my head, and think. Finally it strikes me, maybe the damn thing plugs back into the CD changer. Pull the cable off the CD unit, and it snaps right in..... Pretty mad at this point because I could have saved myself several hours of ripping my car apart, but excited because I think I have it solved. I plugged in the Ipod and nothing!

Drive the car around all weekend without the interior, because I knew it would be a pain if they just didn't send an adapter or something. Called them up on a Monday and lo and behold, just needed to turn DIP switches 3 and 8 to on. Works like a charm.

I would recommend this unit only because it works, allows the IPOD to be changed and charged by the Bose system, and the sound is good (for a Bose). Beware the issues I had if you receive no instructions! Takes all of 15 minutes to install this unit if you know how.
