I'm having a install done Friday. (99 vert) They keep telling me i need a cleansweep. I keep telling them I just need an AOEMVET1 adaptor.(possibly also a IPOD2Car adaptor)

How can I explain it to them. Maybe I should go elsewhere?

Can anyone simplify?

JL Audio Cleansweep.

It is an audio processor that is supposed to clean up the source signals from OEM/Factory head units.

Check in the audio section, they will know for sure what is needed. There is a FAQ sticky at the top for C5 audio.

What are you having installed?

I would suggest posting in the audio section of the forum for the best answers

I've been struggling with that senerio for weeks!

Without modifying the dash bezel I'm concerned a 1 DIN radio/rec will stand out like a sore thumb.(No 1.5 DIN units available)

Haven't seen any face plates for 1 DIN stereos installed in C5 vert

there are other options, but they don't have as clean of look as a double DIN with modified bezel:

and you can use that adaptor and NOT be required to run a cleansweep. Tell them to do it your way as instructed, or go somewhere else that has some experience with the C5 audio installations, that will install it with the AOEM adaptor.

Penta has probably done 25+ installs in vettes, he knows what he is talking about.

Check the "what do you run" sticky at the top for ideas on what single din head units look like in the vette.
