Default C5 coupe - Is there anywhere to hide a subwoofer amp?

I have a subwoofer and stealth box and an amp. I can't find a place to hide the amp. I've searched but it seems like people are putting the amps behind the seat, which I don't like.

I have power seats, so no room underneath the seats.

Is there any other place to hide a 300-watt sub amp????

thanks

Get an ARC MINI amp, and you can hide it just about anywhere.

Rear Wall...puts it close to the traditional mounting place for subs in a C5.

It's also a VERY sturdy mounting place if you bolt it through the fiberglass of the rear wall:

True, however it wouldn't be difficult to fabricate a cover for the rear-wall mount that goes ove the amp. It would make the entire rear wall look like one piece. (just remember to add a couple of vents to let the hot air escape.

why would you bolt it to fiber glass when you can liquid nail wood to it and attach to wood with out fear of cracking fiber glass?

My setup has a 3/4" MDF board behind it the amp is actually mounted to. THe MDF is secured to the Fiberglass with 4 bolts and 1" diamater washers. I prefer bolts whenever possible and use glue when a bolts/screws cannot be used (i.e. behind seats)

and they don't vibrate free.

You sound like you want the same is me. Here is a thought. I agree with o2z51. If your doing a stealth box anyway (box that hides in the center compartment) then I would recommend possibly putting the amp in there (if it is small enought) or in one of the side compartments. Now before you or others say anything...YES we all know that Amps heat up, so you will have to do something for ventilation. You could custom fabricate a port for the box and allow heat/air to get out that way if your mounting the amp in the box OR make some custom covers for the side compartment and put the amp in there. You can also tinker with making a false side back/bumper wall to hide the amp. You would be mounting it just like RadioFlyer has shown only continued the carpet/wall to go over from one side to the other. The middle part the amp is mounted to is what you would be covering. Would make it look pretty slick I think. Obviously you would have to have some ventilation holes on the top for the amp to breath.

Something like this:

My amp won't fit in with the stealth box, nor will it fit in a side compartment.

My amp installed by forum member Pentavolvo is under the passenger's seat. It's a Infinity. Never had any issues.

I mounted the amp on rear compartment wall. I am having MadVette make a custom cover for it, so it should be 100% hidden.

I'll post a pic when done.
