Default Radio Install Question

I am trying to test my new receiver. Should it power on with the center console panels still removed or is there some switch that leaves it powered off for some reason?

Perhaps I am already seeing that something is wrong and I should pull it back out?

So simply connecting the power leads from the H/U and the GM harness adapter is no good? I should run my power from the fuse to the radio and not expect to get any power through the harness?

Thanks for your patience.

100% correct. while ur harness may say that wire is switched power it isnt its a data communications wire

also dont plan on ur bose subs working without some custom wiring

New issue... I've installed the H/U, have the subs spliced in, and finally have power to it all.

1st question: I have excessive popping from the subs only when they are connected to either the Front Pre-Amps or the Sub-Outs. It happens specifically when you tutrn the volume from zero to 1, when you switch between sources, and when you use the seek function on the Tuner. I am going to re-ground everything... any other ideas or something else I should consider?

2nd Question: The H/U shuts off and comes back on only to shut back off again. It repeats this cycle continuously. I am hoping that the reset ground will help here.

3rd Question: I still have no power on ACC. Must I rewire that as I did the Switch power under the passenger foot rest? Is this the same as the FAQ topic?

Thanks again, you guys are a great resource!
