Would you care to exlain why you need to know the BRAND of the components. If you have a question about how/why it does what it does, just ask

I don't need no explanation as to why I just want to know the brand.
Do you need to explain why you want a Corvette? I sure don't. Maybe you do to your wife or so

Default bluetooth buttons and SWI controls

I just added the schematic for late model C6 with the bluetooth buttons on the steering wheel.

The BT buttons are wired in series with the normal radio control buttons on the other side, so if you install an aftermarket Steering Wheel Interface control box for a new HU, I would guess that you now have 7 buttons to program with the SWI. The oem BT buttons still won't control any bluetooth functions on the new HU, but you will get a few extra audio control buttons from them. You just need to determine which of the available SWI functions you use (look at the SWI programming instructions, you'll see what I mean).

Would anyone be able to point out the pin out diagram which would reflect the back an 07 bose & navigation head unit? Also, would anyone happen to know where I could locate the wires ran from the factory microphone in the a pillar?

I believe that the Bose seven speaker premium sound system is RPO code U65.

As for the radio plug, which one are you taking about? The main plug is C1. C2 is for amp mute, vss, and XM/aux input. C3 is for communications with the vehicle bus. C5 is for the microphone.

I might be missing some things, as I'm posting from my phone... but that should point you in the right direction.

The prints in my original post were scanned from an '07 manual

To find specific wires look at numbers on schematics and pinouts at same time, you'll figure out their system eventually.

Lol got it! Yeah it definitely took me a minute to decipher all of that. But from the way it looks, the main plug (c1 on the radio side) doesn't have a dimmer/illumination control. I'm wiring an AVIC-X930BT to install tomorrow and I'd like the dimmer option to be functional. What does everyone use for this?

Hi,

thanks for this worthful information,
i am from Germany and there are such informations rare.
I installed a alpine W920 in my Corvette C6 (year 2009 and Bose 7 speaker sound system) using a Pac adapter. Replacing the 3,5 inch Speakers in door
Now i have a hum in the system-- any recommendations on that.

I am reflecting to replace the amp therefore i want to purchase male connectors C1 and C2 wiring ownself.
I am just wondering if for the 10 inch subs i have to use a low or high level input ( i assume the subs have their own amps) can you help me

any recommendations on the amp fitting in original space area

Thanks in advance

Harro

Stock radio sends line-level signal to amp, amp then splits low freq to door subs, subs have internal amps.

EDIT: This is only true for the 7-speaker setup, on 9-speaker cars the subs are powered from the same amp as all the rest.
