Who runs a high output alternator in their C5???

You should have mentioned you were looking for a high output alternator. I have a http://www.highoutputalternator.com/index.htm model 61516(Corvette 02-04 manual trans) brand new, sitting on the shelf. I got it for the big stereo build that I still haven't done.
