Default Rookie install question -

I think I have everything in place for my install this weekend and had a fairly stupid question -

The Avic F700 I'm putting in has female RCA pigtails. The OS2 Bose adapter has clipped wires - is the best way to hook this up to clip the RCAs and solder the wires or solder on male RCAs to the adapter and plug it all together?

One other question -

I'm using the Peripeheral Steering wheel control adapter. the wiring instructions are manure - Any clues on how to run it? I have a black to ground a red to the 12v switched and a green wire that needs to go to the controller.

The instruction say -
Quote:

Connect the INTERFACE's Green wire to...pin # A7 (blue) of the above connector
Connect pin # A6 (purple) to accessory +12v
Do I need to jump over the OS2 Bose adapter and go straight to the cars harness coming into the new harness? I dn;t under stand why I'd connect the A6 (purple) from the car to the +12v. That seems weird.
