Default Tilted Alpine PDX a NO-NO???

The manual for the Alpine PDX 5 amp states that the warranty will be void if the amp is mounted on a slope, or any other position other than horizontal. Does anyone know why this would be? I plan on mounting the PDX on the slope behind the passenger seat on my C6. I've seen photos of this mount location and really like it.

I'm hoping that they're just worried that some moron would stack several of these and create a leaning tower of pisa with their amps. I'm worried though that it would do actual damage to the amp.

Any ideas?

Considering it has no moving parts... There's really no issue here. Maybe it's some left over warranty-speak from something that does have moving parts - like a CD player.

Note:
Stack installation should always be parallel to the vehicle floor – do not install at an incline, such as
leaning against a vertical surface, as this will invalidate your warranty.
This is a notation in the PDX manual. It specifically states "Stack Installation"

my installer set mine vertically in the passenger side rear compartment. No problems so far. I assume that since they installed it that way, they would accept the warranty if a problem occurred.

Most likely due to heat dissipation issues with it on an angle..

when the alpine rep came to my shop, he said they should always be mounted horizontally, as it has something to do with heat sinks
