Anyone ever use or hear an 8" mb quart in the door of a C5?
Anyone ever use or hear an 8" mb quart in the door of a C5? I want more midbass and the stereo shop suggested this. It is not a sub.

Yep that's what I have. I do have a seperate amp just for the 8's. That made a big differance in getting alot of bass out of them. I only paid about $100 for both 8's so don't let them rip you :)

Eclipse 60x60 amp
2 qty. Kenwood Kac729 100x100
1 Sony crossover. Only used for the 8's
I Kicker procomp 12 in a box in the rear
2 6 1/2 inch Mb quartz compontent in the rear non tweeter.
2 Mb Quartz 8 inch subs.
2 Mb quartz 4 inch comp.
2 tweets mounted by the door speakers Mb Quart
2 Tweets mounts in the pillers vents

2 qty. Kenwood Kac729 100x100
1 Sony crossover. Only used for the 8's
I Kicker procomp 12 in a box in the rear

Having 8's in the doors are a wonderful thing. Feel fortunate that you have the space to accomodate such a nice feature. I went with BA Pro 8's crossed over at around 80 hrtz or so. They help bring the bass to the front and compliment the mids in the rear. The tweets and the 8's run off of the same
