It's a nice unit. 24bit D/A converter. 4 volt preouts. Ipod control through USB and can also read other mp3 players, jump drives, and hard drives through it's USB. You can also use a USB hub and connect several things into it - as long as you don't go over 500mA.

I would rate the ease of use as a 7 out of 10. If you are used to Kenwood, it uses the same type of menu system and has many of the features that Kenwood has used for a while now.
The display is nice. Not too bright. There are several displays that you can show on the screen. I can think of 5 different ways the text on the screen can be displayed. You can have a motion graphic of a car, two different layout types of multiple text lines. Each line you can configure to display what you like. There is also a large single line of text that can be displayed. Finally, you can have a full size clock on the screen.
I wish you had full iPod control from the remote control. You can go up or down through tracks but can't navigate through albums, artists, or playlists.
