Default sirius quality

After installing my new HU and sirius equipment I am a little dissatisfied with the audio quality of sirius. I have adjusted the equalizer to my likings but still it sounds off. Like things are muddled and it has practically no bass. A cd sounds great (better bass and much sharper all around) but when I switch it over to the satellite it sounds pretty bad in comparison. So I emailed sirius and they told me it was 192kbs. Im not an audiophile or anything but I can tell it isn't at 192kbs... I really cant tell much difference in music after 128kbs or so. So what does everyone else think. Do you think it really does stream at 192kbs? Are there any audio differences between the different recievers? I've done some searches and seen where some people say it is 64kbs or less but most of those threads are kinda old.

I tried both Sirius and XM about a year ago and the quality is terrible, there is no way it's 192 kb/s. It sounded like 64 most of the time. I compared it to someone talking out of a tin can, I wouldn't listen to it if it was free (it actually started giving me a headache lol).
