Default Factory cd player died, what are my plug and play options??

Hello and thanks for any constructive input. No I didn't do a search, I've exhausted all my searching hours for the night on non-pop-up headlights... and still don't have a difinitive answer on them...

Anyway, my stock Bose cd player on my '99 vette just stopped working and I'm bummed out. All I see is "theftlock" and I remember the satellite amps in the doors and I'm thinkin' this'll be a lot of work.

Since I've been out of the car stereo scene for so long, I'm hoping that there is now a plug and play solution available. If so I'm all .

Thanks.

direct plug and play no but its not hard to do

check out the c5faq you need to get a bose integration harness then just wire your new radio to the harness and drop it in. faq has alot of pages but on one of the pages there is an extensive how to with pics.

any questions feel free to ask away

A soundgate harness and a radio kit from Crutchfield is what i did.

The only true plug-n-play for a Corvette is another Corvette radio. Anything else you install will need to be wired to make it work.

thanks for the sug's. I will look into both and probably do whatever is easiest. I like music now, but I don't have much tolerance for mucking around with that stuff like I did 15 years ago.

I am replacing my entire factory system this winter. I was going to list it on the web, but if you are interested in replacing your factory cd player with another, let me know.
