Default New speaker question: Alpine w/Soundgate & Bose

I currently have an Alpine 9886 single din head unit attached to my stock Bose speaker system through a Soundgate interface. If I upgrade my speakers, I'm assuming that I need to remove the Soundgate interface??????

What Greg needs to know is if you intend to put in an amp & sub as well. Big difference between swapping the stock speakers and starting from scratch with amp & speakers.

Just to make sure you know the scope of the project, you're basically starting over other than the head you already have installed. This means installing an aftermarket amplifier(s). I'm sure Greg will comment on the specific of what is needed specific to C5.
