Default Anyone with Focal Subs on a C6 (on the door)?

OK, so I had a full focal setup on my c5 vert, and I absolutely loved the subs I had in the door.
When I got my '08 vert last year, I tried moving the setup to the new car, but the subs were too deep. The shop did an amazing job of setting up the new system, but I still want to put focal subs on the '08. Does anyone know if focal has a sub that will fit on the c6?

Yeah, that was my first thought as well. The C6 has tons of depth in the door and a great deal of space from the door out to the grill as well.

I still think doors make lousy sub enclosures though....

I agree the doors aren't best place for subs, but I have a 'vert and I don't want to give up the truck space (whatever bit I have). It worked really well in the C5 (doors were fully dynomatted). The c6 can hold a much larger sub (in terms of diameter), but the depth on the door is less than the c5.

We tried it, but the sub was still too thick.

Have you looked into the JL Stealthboxes for C6 vert? I have them and they're nice subs. It's a pair of 8W3v3's and I'm putting 300 bridged into them.

Never saw those before...and they don't impact the motorized action of the top? Looks really nice!

Nope, I have the power top and it works just fine with them.

They ain't cheap though, full retail is something like $1000. I got lucky and picked them up used here on the forum.

The thing about 8's is that they're not gonna blow you away like even a single 12" sub, but they kick hard and round out the bottom end very nicely.

The price isn't bad (compared to the focals)
I think the 8" will be fine...I don't want earth shattering thumping so as long as it doesn't pop during certain frequencies it'll be good. Thanks for head suggestion. I may order them this week.

I was surprised you've lasted so long with no bass shermon....but I thought you were doing discrete mods with the mrs. these days..
