Default C4 Install ? / Pix request

Has anyone used this tuner bypass kit or is there another harness I should to replace the NON BOSE head unit in my 96?
I would prefer not to splice into the factory harness if I can avoid it. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1898671

Has anyone installed a double DIN system in a C4 and willing to post pix of the unit installed? Thanks in advance...

I just spliced into mine, so I can't really help there. However, it really isn't hard at all. On my BOSE 96, it was just splicing into 4 wires, all on the same harness. Easy as cake.

I photo-documented my install pretty well, and you can see it in these threads: The first one is fabbing the front speaker enclosures for 6.5" components, the 2nd the rest of the install. Also, here is a pic of the unit installed. Since installing, I have moved it back a little bit in the dash, so it looks a little more flush.

First time I saw the second part of your install. Very nice work.

Thanks for taking the time to document your work.

Both parts need to be attached to the C4 sticky.

I also have made my own loom, and came across this $50 one which the retailer tried his best to sell to me. I would say get it if you're not confident cutting/ joining wires. I imagine it just plugs straight into the receiver loom that's in the bin behind the passenger seat.
I wanted to save $ and have only what I needed and I've learned a TON by reading the forum and doing it myself
Actually the hardest part has been tearing the interior apart without breaking or losing anything
