Hey guys,

just put a new system in my car. kenwood kvt-819dvd, bluetooth, ipod, xm with alpine F1 components powered by the pdx amp. will post pictures once i upload them. wondering what you guys would do as far as a sub goes. if i need one or not? thanks.

it all depends. sometimes i talk myself into thinking i want the sub and other days i say the system sounds fine as is. so just looking for advice.

best advice i can offer is go to your local car toys, mobile one or similar store and listen to a system as similar to yours as possible, then add a sub and see what you think.

If you've never had a sub in a car, you probably haven't experienced what you're missing.

I say absolutely yes on needing a sub. Even if you don't care for bass, a sub will make any music you like come to life. Lots of people have the misconception that bass is for rap... simply not true.

With all of the different options available, spend the money and get some bass.

agree one good quality ten is what I like now, nice crisp bass. I had two twelves in my camaro that would set off car alarms but kind of over that now.
