Sound Deadening/New Carpet?
|
I will be removing the interior of my ’90 coupe to install RaaMat, some Overkill Pro, and then a Crazy Cowboy kit over top of it. I am concerned that added thickness of the sound deadening will make the carpet not “lay” right, and will look funny. I figure that the RaaMat, the foam, and the Crazy Cowboy kit will be about 3/8” thick. I am thinking of replacing the carpet while I have it out, and was wondering if I could get away w/ just using the poly backed carpet instead of the mass back? Of course the poly back is cheaper, but my main concern is the thickness/fitment issue.
For those of you that have done this to your cars, what do you think?
Thanks, Randy
