Anyone use the RF Power-1000?

Looks like it might be a good 5-ch amp. Anyone ever used one?

I'm thinking of pairing it with a set of Focal 165KFs up front and undecided on the rears with a JLAudio stealthbox

The Power 1000 is a good amp. Was the only 5 channel they made during the time it was built. Went under the same build processes as the other power series amps. Didn't see one come in for warranty work while I was at RF. It will run the Focals well.

Hmm looks like it's not a current product. Any idea when it was last built? $499 a good deal or should I look at maybe the Alpine PDX-5?

It was part of the 25th anniversary of RF. So late 2005 or early 2006 should be the year it was built. That amp MSRP'd at 1599.00 when it was new. And dealers were getting that for it too since it was a limited edition model. If you don't get it let me know and I'll go for it for my collection!!

I'm going to pass. I measured it out and there's NO WAY it'll fit behind the seat in the C6. I'd have to mount it on the deck and I'm hoping to go a bit more stealthy (and save what little storage room I have)
