Default Better Subs for the Doors?

Is there a product out there that is a direct replacement that is better? Not interested in adding subs in the rear.

I was considering these, Memphis MCSYNC 8". Woofersetc.com has them for $270.00 pr. Instead I'm perfecting a 8" kicker L7 in a small enclosure. I'll post pics when done. Yeah the top will still stow.

JFC, $270 for a pair of 8" drivers. Insane. Higher-quality Vifa, Peerless, Dayton and Seas models can be had for far less.

That depends on how they'll be used, with what manner of amplification and what other speakers will be involved.

I suggested the memphis because the o.p. inquired about factory replacements. All retail audio equipment is overpriced, kinda like anything "marine". Raw drivers usually means amps, goin active or designing your own passive network, a little more than I thought the o.p. was asking for. Of course if the signal to the factory driver isn't full range so as you could take advantage of the tweeter, disregard my input.

well I'm using the Alpine IVA W205 to power all the speakers. Just looking for a slight improvement than stock.

That unit won't have enough juice for door sub improvement. The current Bose sub in the doors have their own built in amp.

Since you will be taking out the headunit. Adding a small PDX amp will be easy (put it behind passenger seat). Throw in a couple of decent components and there will be a big difference, even in the bass range.
