Default C6 Sub-woffer Installed, done cheap!

When I mean cheap, I don't mean it looks cheap, it just did not cost an arm & a leg. I purchased a JL 8" sub for about $100, The amp I had on a prior install, which was $100, I also had the PAC that you can order for around $20. I cut a peice of thin board, measured it to fit perfectly in the passanger side rear cubby hole, after I removed the stock lid. I measured and cut out a circle so the sub fits good and tight in the hole. I used my LLoyds rear cargo mat and cut a hole the same size as the one in the same place to cover the hole. I placed the speaker over the carpet and into the hole, screwed it down and it looks stock, even looks like it came from the factory that way. Sound pretty good too. Not as good as the 12' sub I had before, but this install takes up no space and looks so much cleaner and you don't need some big sub box taking uop the room in your vette. I will throw up some pics later if anyone is interested...

There was an older thread where someone did the same thing and had good results with it. How did you seal the enclosure?

Ok I finished... I put a Jl 8"sub in both cubby holes. It sounds very good, looks very clean. I have one amp running both subs and this thing rocks. I did seal the subs very good. LISTEN.. the trick is making sure you seal the subs..here are some pics.

I finished up and changed out my rear speakers w/5.25 punch speakers. I have two amps, one running the two JL subs and one running the two rear speakers. Here is a finished pic....

Subs look good. You're not too far from me up in Wilmington. If you ever cruise up this way, let me know because I would like to check your system out.

If you need a hand gutting out the Bose system, I don't mind helping you out. I did mine last year with great results. Check the link:
