I recently tested out my iPod touch with my Xbox 360, and I found out that it wasn't compatible due to the fact that the touch uses different programs than the other iPods. I also recently checked out the double-din's of Pioneer, and they are advertised to be compatible with iPods, but those tests were performed on iPods previous to those of the touch. My question is, would the iPod tough that I ahve be compatible with these double dins, or really, any double din?
I know for a FACT that they do work the the kenwoods....sort of, you will not be able to access the videos if you have any (after firmware update, through a flashdrive only, no cd). I installed one this weekend for a customer. If i had my vette with me I would have tried it on mine, so I can not confirm that it will work with the AVICs
Thanks you guys. I would hate it to have the top-of-the-line iPod to not be compatible with the best audio systems out there....it'd be like a waste really.
I just had a Clarion MAX675VDII installed in my C6 yesterday and my iPhone sorta works with it. The unit will display the song info on the screen for the first song I play, but won't update when I go to other tracks. It also won't play the video files on my iPhone, but plays the audio fine.
I connected a very old iPod Nano and it works perfectly with everything. There does appear to be some compatibility issues with the iPhone and iPod Touch with these units.
If you buy the new apple cable with the left/right/video it will transfer everything to your head unit. Just use one of the Aux inputs that have video, this will allow you to watch the video from the touch on your head unit. The Ipod will know it is plugged into an external video source and ask you if you wish to view it on a TV and will allow it to play. The only problem I had when I did it a few months back was it would only play one video at a time then go back to the video menu. It would not play continuous like my other ipod video did. Apple told me it was a software issue that might be updated when the next generation of the touch came out (the new one is now out 32GB) I just havent tried it yet.

Are you able to control your I phone through the clarion on screen display, or are you selecting the next track on the i phone? I bought a touch for x-mas, and was planning a max 675 this spring. Do you like the unit? Would you have bought something different? I don't want nav just good sound and a decent i-touch interface. thanks.
I have an iPhone and the avic d3 and It does Work. I have the ipod cable for the avic d3. When I hook it up, the iPhone brings up a message about airplane mode and I say "no". Then I am able to control all my audio songs from the avic d3. The video does not work but Apple may make it work in the future, with updates. Make sure to update your iTouch with the latest download with iTunes.

I can control the iPhone through the Clarion unit. I couldn't be happier with the Clarion interface. I have Sirius and the iPod cable connected to it and it's freakin awesome. No regrets whatsoever. You can pick it up on ebay for around 500 bucks brand new.
