Default Restoring '89 Bose System

I'm in the process of restoring an '89 coupe with the original Bose system (upgraded to 94-96 Z-28 Bose deck w/CD and harness adapter). Deck and rear speakers are installed and sound 10x better than what was in the car (Alpine after-market).

The front speakers (acquired recently on e-bay) are providing me only with white noise (slight hissing). When I swap the Alpine speakers back in, it gives clear but faint audio.

Anything outside of acquiring a pair of bad speakers (blown amps) off Ebay as the culprit???

So with the amps possibly not turning on, does that point to a fuse or relay issue?

Amps are probably turning on, but they may need new capacitors ( typical failure)
