Default Any Recommendations for an 8 inch Sub?

I am doing an experiment in another car and am beefing up the sound system ever so slightly. I want to bring the bass up just a touch more. It is definitely the end that is missing. I only have about 9" of surface to work with, so an 8" sub would be a perfect fit.
Looking around they are priced all over the place form $40 to 250.
I don't need a monster blow the windows out sub, just a decent one that give me a decent sound. It doesn't have to be new, if someone has a decent source for used. It won't be driven very hard at all.
Any recommendations?

I am really happy with my JL8w7 in my truck, you would never guess that it is an 8" sub if I didn't tell you It is rather deep and requires around .86cu^3 IIRC. I would throw around 400w RMS to it and I think you would be quite happy, although they are not cheap. I can second the Peerless XLS series as well as a good recommendation.

Thanks everyone. I was just out taking a look and I need to make sure I also have the required depth needed. Originally I didn't think it would be a problem, but studying it a bit further tells me I might be a bit cramped. For those posting a sub for sale... hang on let me check the depth dimensions.

JL 8w3v3 would be nice, but check the depth out first.

Go with a Kicker Solobaric. More speaker surface area than a round sub.

Most often times it's a true statement to say 'you get what you pay for.' In terms of speakers, build quality and consistency are at the top of the list. The JL 8W3v3 is a very good driver. Here's proof.

Surface area means nothing for comparisons. Square frames are merely cosmetic. All that matters is performance in the enclosure you use.

Sorry, everyone, I have had zero time to get back on this project. Hopefully tomorrow.
