Escort SR1 distributor?

I'm trying to remember who on the list is a distributor for Escort radar detectors? He's also a pilot.

I thought Escort was only available direct.

I bought my 8500 at Sound Advice in Florida and they also carried the SR1. I'm taking it back though and ordering the Valentine 1.

Escort does not do installations so they have to sell the SR1 to installers (or distributors).

I just looked at the Escort web site ( http://www.escortradar.com ) and they list their SR1 distributors/installers. There are four in SC. Look here: http://www.passportsr1.com/sc.htm Two in Charleston, one in Columbia, and one in Spartanburg.

Just a related comment -- I have the SR-1 and love it. Very unobstrusive and it's saved me more than once.

I purchased an Escort SR1 from a guy on the list several months ago and did the installation myself. I have a pic of a stealth installation in the ash tray if anyone is interested. But, I want to purchase another one and can't remember the guys name. He's an airline pilot I think but that's all I know.
