Default Removing stock Bose causes DIC code??

Getting ready to remove the entire stock Bose system from my 2002 C5Z. I believe it is integrated into the vehicles computer system somehow with the memory presets, etc.?? If so, after I unplug all the plugs on the backside of the stock headunit to remove it, will this cause the DIC to display a constant code after I complete the installation of my aftermarket system or does the computer not care if the bose headunit is plugged in or not.?? If so, is there a way to "disable" this code causing condition? Thanks in advance. Still trying to learn everyhting about this "new" car.

I just picked up all the wiring adapters.

I am doing the same project.

Don't know about getting a DIC code, but these are supposed to be the ticket.

PAC OEM-1

PAC AMP-VET1

PAC RAD-UNV

I don't know if I will have to use all three (I was told I would), but I didn't want to get stuck.

(UPDATE) Well right off it looks like I don't need the OEM-1

I replaced the speakers and I am adding an amp.

No codes are displayed when the head unit is removed.

You will get a no communication error when you manual flip thru DIC for codes, but it is no big deal.
