Default [C5 Coupe] Now I need new rear speakers!

The only thing stock left are the rear speakers. (Full story here: http://216.205.94.74/zerothread?id=186002)

Now, I have to turn the bass down because the stock Bose speakers distort something awful when I turn up the volume. I consequently turn up the SUB OUT so the Bazooka tube gets most of the bass. Of course there are mid-bass frequencies that I'm not hearing when I do this.

The alternative is listen to it at a low level... uh... no.

So, now I'm thinking of installing some 5.25's. If I do that, I really should do a seperate amp also. More wiring, more $$. It never ends... :D

I'd stick a RF a4 on the speakers, one channel per corner. The rear enclosures aren't sealed, I'd advise you also get those little foam boots that Crutchfield and Sounddomain sell, to seal the rear wave of the rears from the front wave of the rears, you'll get better bass. They had CDT coaxs on sale at Sounddomain for a very nice price a little while ago, those'd work well, or a RF or MBQ coax would work well too for not too high a price if you shop around and don't care about warranty. Basically look for a coax with high sensitivity that isn't a cheap model and it'll work well.

You mean you didn't do all the wiring the first time? I've got the interior of my C5 all over the garage right now, am slowly wiring it up in preparation of great things... :D
