Looking for the tread of pics of molded ipod docking station
I am looking for an old tread from about 6 months ago where someone actually had the small white docking station that comes with your ipod molded or mounted in their center console. In that same post their was a link to a website that actually made a piece that was molded and you put it in place of your cupholder. Thanks for any help.
I just got one of these recently and really like it. The only downside is you have to drill through the bottom of the cupholder for the wire to run, but oh well. Better to have the seamless iPod dock. Can always replace the cupholder down the road if necessary.
They make a kit for if you already have the iPod connection in your car and just want the dock, or a complete setup. It's not cheap, but it's great and really makes things easier.
That is the website I was talking about and a big THANKS for the help. There was a member on her who actually took and molded it into the center console and that looked superb.
Not sure what you mean by that. This thing above comes with the cupholder mount. I don't know what you are looking for beyond that...
The website you posted was the one I was looking for, however there is a forum member who cut the little white mount that comes with the ipod and the same one spec.dock uses in the center console himself on top of the console to the right of the shifter. It looked sweet and like it came stock that way.
