Default Subwoofer Grill Cover?

Is there a place I can get another grill or cover for my JL audio 10" sub? The one that came with it sticks up too much and I'd like it to be completely flat so I can put the Lloyd's mat over it and not know there is a sub underneath.

Want one that is flat and very strong as I use the trunk a lot and dont want to damage the sub

Thanks

It's going to be hard to find a flat sub grill. The majority of them are raised so that there is clearance for the subwoofer's excursion. If the grill is too flat or shallow, then you wouldn't have enough clearance. So every time the bass hit, your sub would extend out and hit the grill. Probably the most shallow grill you will find is going to be the waffle style grills which probably came w/ the sub.

As far as Heavy Duty goes, Dayton makes a very sturdy and affordable grill. You will just need to make sure that the sub has enough clearance during excursion. Here's the link:

Another option is to use a grill that will cover more than just the sub. You can find a size that covers the subwoofer and also extends out onto the sub box itself. Then you would simply mount it to the sub baffle. Since the grill will be wide, this will help eleminate that "round bump", you are seeing right over your subwoofer.

I have the cheap ones from parts express. I have a stealth box, even with the grilles my cover still fits ove the subs. I also removed the rubber surrounds off of the subs, so the grilles would fit lower.

I ran across a web site a while back where someone makes a stealth cover that would be perfect. Looks like stock but it is a metal cover with cloth over it and holes punched. I would like to buy one myself but can't find. Would be nice for a forum vendor to look into making / finding and selling one of these. I think the C-5 will be modded much more in the coming years as they get less expensive so a market for this type of stuff should grow.
