Hottest Single DIN out right now...
I had the Alpine 9835 and went to an alpine IDA-x100 (the ipod one). I was disappointed with the lack of sound quality features it had compared to my 9835 (which i think is the god of radios pretty much). Is there anything semi close to that out now? Good clean cool looking display, time correction, built in EQ, things like that?

^^^ I did alot of reading on that one yesterday! how do you like it? How's the nav?
In person, does it look like someone glued a PSP to the dash? (does it stick out alot?)

I really like it. Yes, it does stick out a lil, but im ok with that. Screen is plenty big & it saves a lot of work & expense of a double.
I just had installed last week & im very satisfied.

I have the CD5000 now. You have to purchase the GPS unit from Eclipse (seperate module) to interface with the HU. How it works is you go to their website (e-serv) and load your trip parameters. You then download the data to a CD-R or memory stick and download to HU. Probably not the best system if you plan on using the NAV everyday, but for me, the occasional trip is well-suited for this.

right. it looks like a pretty cool deck, but to much $$$ for a non-full functioning nav.

I bet you would be hard-pressed to find a better deck at this $$$ with better audio though. That's what originally drove me to the Eclipse moniker in the first place (I am no expert FWIW)
